Origin Doors have introduced a new midrail section to their door range. Until now, doors were only available as fully glazed items and the introduction of the midrail section adds further flexibility to their already top quality and market leading bifolding door.

Origin doors are already regularly used as French Doors and Single Doors
For a number of years Origin have supplied their bifolding doors as single or double entrance doors. Available as opening in or out doors they were ideal for complementing bifolding doors fitted to new extensions or as replacements for old french doors and patio doors. With many new extensions being open plan or linking two rooms such as a dining room to a kitchen or lounge, it is often the case that French doors would be required next to bifolding doors in adjacent rooms. For applications such as these the Origin swing doors were ideal.
The Origin door when used as a single door is a very attractive product with top quality hardware.
The main advantage of course was that the door sections and sight lines of the bifolding doors would match those of the French Doors. Added to this was the benefit of matching handles, hinges and glass lines.
Origin doors now have even more uses with a midrail
Prior to the introduction of a midrail for the Origin door, homeowners wishing to have side doors in their homes, typically with a midrail, solid panel below and glass above could not have an Origin product. Their choices were to either accept a door without an midrail or seek an alternative system for just one different type of door.
The new Origin Midrail has a 70mm dimension on the face and is internally beaded.
The introduction of the Origin Midrail offers new scope for bespoke door designs such as this wood effect aluminium entrance door.
The introduction of one additional section to these doors provides further flexibility to the product including:
- The facility to now have doors with glass and panels
- Side doors can now be fitted with cat flaps in panels
- The addition of one or more midrails either horizontally or vertically enables the creation of individual door designs
The introduction of the new midrail to Origin Doors now means buyers of bifolding doors and those extending and renovating their homes can include side doors with midrails all from one system. This means no dual sourcing and the much needed requirement for side doors with midrails or individually designed multi pane doors can be fulfilled.
The new Origin door can also be fitted with a range of integrated blinds to give more privacy if required. Alternatively, the full range of Origin Blinds is also available.
